Plymouth have pleasure in inviting YOU to join the Mother City for Plymouth's Annual Thanksgiving Festival, celebrating its unique Mayflower & Transatlantic Heritage this Thanksgiving Weekend.
In the year 1620, a ship named the Mayflower carried 102 English men, women and children from the Port of Plymouth in England to the rocky coast of what is now Massachusetts. The ship's passengers were Puritans - members of a religious sect which was unpopular in Britain because its members wanted to reform the Church of England. We look forward to you joining us in our celebrations at the annual Thanksgiving Festival in Plymouth.
Plymouth's Elizabethan House will be open on 27th November, between 3pm and 6pm Meet the re-enactors, enjoy the sounds of the musicians and soak up the atmosphere in this historic property as it opens for one day only, especially to mark Thanksgiving. Admission is free and there is no need to book in advance.
There will also be a
Thanksgiving Dinner Dance on Friday 28th November.
